Elaine Lau

ELAINE LAU joined the firm in 2007. As an associate of the firm, Ms. Lau handles a wide range of commercial and general civil litigation involving insurance coverage, bankruptcy-related matters, personal injury, contractual and transactional commercial disputes, and subrogation cases in both state and federal courts. In addition to her experience in handling litigation for the firm’s clients, Ms. Lau counsels clients on contract drafting and commercial real estate transactions. Ms. Lau has also successfully defended a prominent lender in the Southern District of New York relating to alleged violations of the Truth in Lending Act.
Ms. Lau graduated from St. John’s University School of Law, where she served as an editor of the N.Y. Litigator – the Journal of the Commercial and Federal Litigation Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. While earning her J.D., Ms. Lau was published in The Admiralty Practicum, a case review periodical published bi-annually by the St. John’s Admiralty Law Society.
Ms. Lau is admitted to practice in New York, and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
